After the official presentation of the Nokia 150 (a feature phone that goes to an audience that loves old devices), the Finnish brand is working on three new models of Android smartphones to be presented at the Mobile World Congress 2017 held in Barcelona. The devices will cover the entire market segment, from the highest to mid-low range, and on these have just been leaked some images that already show the design with which they will appear in public in several weeks.
The Nokia P1, arguably the best known smartphone of all, must feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a 23 megapixel main camera with Zeiss optical lens. The Nokia D1C, another of which we have talked about, is distinguished by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space, 13 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera. Both should use Android 7.0 Nougat as the OS out of the box. In the images appearing on the network, it appears that the company has not integrated a fingerprint sensor, but is rumored to be integrated directly below the screen, a solution adopted in the past by Huawei.
And it is not only the yearning for the style of the old Nokia what should attract the current public, looking for durable and powerful smartphones, but also the development of a superior range with very advanced specifications, and this is where the new and mysterious Nokia Z2 Plus, whose specifications we have known through Geekbench, appears. According to the first rumors (that have to be taken with pliers), in fact they are technical specifications of very high level and that for that reason leave some suspicion. The return of Nokia, however, will certainly feature at least two Android smartphones, and here is all we know about the technical details, release date and price of Nokia Z2 Plus.
According to what appeared in Geekbench, it must be the second most powerful model of all. For example, and always according to the data obtained so far, would integrate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or 821 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The operating system will be older than its peers, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but would still opt for new updates. Several voices say that we will only see the device in the Chinese market. The most likely reason is that this will tend to analyze the response of the Asian market before even imagining a release in the West or only Europe. The technical data of the Nokia Z2 Plus is still mostly unknown to us, but what is known seems quite reliable.
In summary, it seems that Nokia is betting heavily on its return, whether with mid-range or high-end smartphones, in any case with interesting specs. As for the release date, little is known; nor the price, but the idea is that, for the return, Nokia decides an aggressive tactic with very competitive prices. Some time ago, there was talk of the possibility that the Finnish company decided to introduce two devices in the MWC 2017, but the news of a new smartphone makes it quite likely that several different prototypes will be shown to find those that will allow to increase sales and see again the brand everywhere.
