One of the Nokia Executives has confirmed what we all knew for some time, and that means several new Android models are planned for this year; but specifically not know whether smartphones or tablets, which are to be released later this year, although the possibility of a postponement to 2017, a situation that still no one can be excluded.

We remind you that Microsoft had the rights to realization and sale of smartphones and tablets of the Nokia brand until the end of 2016, but thanks to the sale of intellectual property and the Nokia brand to a new Finnish company, HMD Global, will allow we see new models of the historic brand, which actually will be built by Foxconn in collaboration with Sharp, a company which has also been acquired by Foxconn.

HMD Global, a company founded by some former employees of Microsoft and Nokia itself has taken up the arduous task of designing the new release of smartphones, while production will depend on the Taiwanese Foxconn, the company responsible for the production of Playstation 4 , Wii U, Xbox One, BlackBerry or iPhone. Naturally, for the moment we do not even know the name of Nokia smartphones that are underway or technical specifications, even though, according to some rumors on the web, could be equipped with metal casing, OLED screen 5.5 inch QHD resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a 22.6-megapixel main camera.

The same HMD Globalhas recently hired a famous name, as is the former CEO of Rovio, Pekka Rantala, as its Director of Marketing, hoping he can help them to return to the glories of the past in terms of sales and opinion. Certainly, the role that awaits him is so great, and the importance of the Nokia name as historical, that this work can be very complicated, but the question is whether today is not too late for Nokia.
