Update device with Sony Xperia Companion (PC required)

Updating the device using Xperia ™ Companion
A PC or Mac is required.

1.- Connect the device to the computer with a USB Type-C cable.

2.- The device screen must be unlocked and that the
USB connection mode on the device is set to Transfer
of files.

3.- Open Xperia Companion if it does not open automatically.

4.- Check that the computer has Internet access.

5.- On your PC or Mac: The software will detect if there is a new update, then
a pop-up window will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions to install
updates.

If Xperia Companion Software is not installed on your PC or Mac.

1.- Connect your device to the computer

2.- Follow the installation instructions that will appear on the screen.

Make sure you use the USB Type-C cable that comes with the device.
