The new top-of-the-range smartphones of the Chinese manufacturer are gradually becoming known. The Xiaomi Mi 6, successor of the successful Mi 5, continues to offer new features on the network, almost daily, on which will be its distinctive features and specifications more prominent. This smartphone -which includes the Mi 6 Plus variant- is, in fact, the great assault that Xiaomi intends to make to the market. A real fight on the highest floors of the mobile competition, challenging similar proposals from the main competitors in the sector.
Although in the past we have already spoken several times about the data sheet of the normal version of this device (with the presence of a SoC Snapdragon 835 now taken for granted), the news today is in the price available for each variant. The Xiaomi Mi 6 should arrive in three different versions, as well as three others of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus (which must have a screen of 5.7 inches). All these options look for potential users to have a truly complete offer, as we will see below.

In this table we can see how Xiaomi wants to attack several different segments of the mobile market and, in order to fulfill what it has considered opportune to articulate its new main proposals in this field, has three different situations depending on the ranges. Therefore, the base variant has a price around 1,999 ¥ (about 290 $ at the current exchange rate), and characterized by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage space.
In short, the same configuration as the previous Mi 5. The most demanding consumers, however, have faith in the other two proposals, no doubt, more complete and better finished: the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage memory (at a price of 2,299 ¥), which is equivalent to about 333 $), and a version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB around for about 391 $ (2,699 ¥).
Slightly different is the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus model, which has a basic variant of 4 GB and 64 GB of storage space (price of 2,599 ¥ or 377 $) and will culminate in an unprecedented and impressive model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The price to pay for this model is certainly much more substantial, as we are talking about about 3,499 ¥ (507 $).
Market forecasts 2017
If the figures are confirmed, the Xiaomi Mi 6 could operate in the market with different economic proposals in the upper part market this year. It offers a lower price than usual, maintaining its style, offering good specifications at affordable prices. We will see if it becomes the cheapest smartphone of the year with Snapdragon 835, dual camera and built with quality materials.
