Finally: Samsung, after a first phase of beta testing, has officially started the launch of the update to Android 7.0 Nougat on the high-end smartphones Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The beta program has introduced some new features and enhancements to the update that include faster speed in the download and installation phases of applications and system upgrades.
The quick access panel now has a clearer design: at the first level, no names appear next to the icons, while the second level icons are arranged in groups of nine for easy reference. The S Finder application has been enhanced and can be searched on the smartphone or the web directly from the Quick Panel. Notifications are also lighter and messaging support has been added for direct response, without necessarily passing between different applications.
The multi-window function has been improved, which makes it easier to resize the screen, but now you can add five more applications to the screen in order to have a maximum of seven applications open at the same time. Among the most substantial changes we find Performance Mode that can select four modes of operation depending on what is needed. By optimizing it, it increases the reactivity of the system and, while saving battery life, is naturally designed to optimize resources during the periods dedicated to entertainment, it also improves sound quality and image resolution, to the point of improving the performance through the device configuration.
Finally, Samsung has decided to extend the use of its fingerprint reader by introducing Samsung Pass, which will allow access to certain websites and applications without the need to enter passwords, but simply by placing your finger on the Home button. The UK is currently one of the most important countries in Europe affected by the update, along with the US. and China in the rest of the world. The remaining countries will have it in the next few days. For the rest, we hope that from June will expand the list of smartphones and tablets that will receive the update that already include the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A, Galaxy Tab S2 LTE, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A8.
