Exactly the next February 27, will open the 2017 edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017). And like all previous years, several mobile device manufacturers choose the Barcelona fair to present their new products. This year, the most anticipated smartphones are undoubtedly the LG G6, the Huawei P10 and the Samsung Galaxy S8. The latter is said not to be presented during this event, but as we will see throughout the article, the presentation will happen a few days later.

LG G6

The LG G6 has leaked some specs suggesting a high-end smartphone with a 5.7-inch screen, a Quad HD resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. This display will be subject to rounded edges, and in this area will have an aluminum case that will make it more resistant to accidental falls. LG has given much importance to the cooling of the CPU (probably a Snapdragon 821 processor) and the battery (probably not to happen as Samsung with Galaxy Note 7), with the introduction of a heatpipe system that disperses the heat generated by these two components. The amount of RAM should reach 4 GB and it will probably have a fingerprint reader and/or an iris scanner in the dual rear camera. LG also guarantees water resistance and the presence of a USB type C port with quick charge technology and connection to a PC.

Huawei P10

Another highly anticipated smartphone is the Huawei P10, which will probably be available in two versions, this one and the Plus variant. The two models are very similar to each other, except for the Quad HD display (although many confirm that it will be Full HD) of 5.5 inches, which for the Plus version will be curved, as adopted by the Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Chipset chosen by Huawei for its superior models will be the Kirin 960, an octa-core processor of 2.3 GHz flanked by the GPU Mali G71. The RAM will be 4 or 6 GB (most likely the last option), the battery of 3,100 mAh, while the internal storage memory will be 64 GB, for a maximum of 256 GB depending on the version that is launched in each market. For those who enjoy photography with their smartphone, you can appreciate the presence of a dual 12-megapixel sensor manufactured by Leica on the back of the device, while the front camera of 8 megapixels will delight the lovers of selfies.

Samsung Galaxy S8

The big absentee in the MWC 2017 will be the Samsung Galaxy S8 which, according to rumors, will be presented on March 29 in South Korea, to be available for sale from April 21. The new top of the range, if rumors are confirmed, will have a screen that will cover almost the entire device (estimated at 90% of the screen-to-body ratio) and will be Super AMOLED, with a 4K resolution. The Galaxy S8 will feature two different variants, which will differ by the size of the screen, which according to the latest rumors should be 5.7 inches and 6.2 inches. Undoubtedly, the presence of the new processor Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4 are two of its greatest qualities. It will also provide microSD slot to expand the 64 GB internal memory. The operating system, almost without a doubt, will be Android 7.1.1 Nougat, since already the S7 and S7 Edge models (as announced by Samsung) will soon receive the latest stable version of Android.
