The new LG G6 will be presented on Sunday, February 26, during a special event organized by LG in Barcelona. That day we will be absolutely sure of the look it will have and all the information related to this and other smartphones from the Korean company. Meanwhile, we already know certain things of this smartphone, thanks to stolen images and rumors from reliable sources. And although it is clear that it lacks of news officiality, it is clear that the new LG top of the range will be very similar to what we have been telling in recent weeks. To all this, we must now add a new image that raises a direct comparison between new LG smartphone with its previous version; that is, the LG G5.

In this case, from the comparison between both devices we can deduce the great work done by LG to be able to maximize the size of its new smartphone, which increases the useful surface, but maintaining the same size as the previous device. In short, it can be said that the two cell phones are equal in height and width, but with the difference that the new LG G6 owns a screen of 5.7 inches while the LG G5 had stopped in a size of 5.3 inches.

Thus, the high relationship between the screen and the body in the new LG G6 delimits the edges, allowing you to have an increase of the screen but not the smartphone. It will be very interesting to see how the company is able to modify its graphical interface. We know that it has been modified precisely in relation to the new aspect of the front panel, which has an unusual aspect ratio of 18:9 for a smartphone (more elongated than the 16:9 terminals, but also divided into two perfect squares).

Otherwise, we know that this smartphone must have the Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory and can be expanded by using MicroSD. In addition, the dual camera on the back will allow you to take pictures even with wide-angle vision (something that LG has become accustomed to since last year). The 3,200 mAh battery and the IP68 certification for protection against water and dust. All that remains, therefore, is to wait for the official presentation of the new LG G6 in Barcelona, with live images.

Following a different approach compared to other companies that will be present at the Mobile World Congress, LG already started a few weeks ago to present, albeit in moderation, some of the highlights of its next smartphone (supplemented with rumors already commented). In this case, the Korean team has focused on some of the details regarding the future of the smartphone screen. The commercial name assigned by the company to that display is Full Vision, while the technical details mentioned of a panel of 5.7 inches Quad HD of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels.

However, the most important detail on the screen is the already commented 18:9 aspect ratio. From the point of view of ergonomics, the smartphone will be easier to grab between hands than other products with a screen of the same diagonal. From a productivity point of view, the G6 screen can make the majority of the screen enhance the multitasking experience in Android Nougat. Thus, LG has also redesigned the user interface and applications so that they can benefit from that vertical space.

Characterized by the few edges seen in the photograph, it seems almost certain that the LG G6 screen will be the distinguishing feature this year. We will have to wait a few days to know if this will be a breakthrough or whether it will be necessary to wait for the LG V30 (with Snapdragon 835 and four cameras) to see it in all its splendor. In any case, LG's new flagship smartphone will be unveiled in less than 2 days.
