Lenovo Yoga A12 official, a cheap and less powerful Yoga Book

Lenovo has not been begging for several weeks, announcing now the new Yoga A12, a larger version of the Yoga Book presented at the Mobile World Congress last year and was quite successful (taking into account format and competence). Unfortunately, the increase in size has also led to a decrease in the features that make this Lenovo Yoga A12 in a way a less powerful version than the previous model. It halves the RAM and internal memory, but above all the Halo touchpad, which is no longer compatible with the stylus to take notes on the device as in a notebook. On the positive side, it increases the battery life, thanks to a more generous battery that promises 13 hours of life.

But there are more commitments made to achieve an ultra-thin and light 2 in 1 tablet at a more content price. First, the Yoga A12 has a larger but less defined screen: 12 inches, resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The only operating system available is also Android, while the Yoga Book is available with a version of Windows. The keyboard continues to function even as a graphics tablet, but loses the option of writing as if using a standard notebook, resting on the surface of the screen. Finally, in addition to offering a long battery life of approximately 13 hours, also highlights the processor on board (although it is not the Atom X5), despite the reduction by half of the amount of RAM, which goes from 4 to 2 GB in this case.

Yoga A12 is a product intended for graphic designers and artists such as the Yoga Book, but is also interesting for students, professionals and anyone who prefers a product that includes a real keyboard and a touch screen. In the absence of reaching other countries, for the moment we know that in the United States -one of the countries where the arrival has already been confirmed by February 8- is going to cost less than a high-end tablet, in concrete $ 299.
