The original P8 Lite was announced almost two years ago, but today Huawei has decided to present a kind of update of this popular smartphone with improved hardware, and has called it Huawei P8 Lite (2017). It also includes some aesthetic modifications, such as the circular shape of the rear camera (in the old model was square), and the use of a curved glass for the screen. This smartphone will be on sale at the end of January.
As for specifications, the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) has a 5.2-inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and integrates a Kirin 655 octa-core processor at 2.1 GHz, as well as the recent Honor 6X. The screen is protected by 2.5D glass, so it is slightly curved to the sides. The hardware comes with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, expandable by microSD card up to 128 GB. The Chinese manufacturer also offers a version with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. In practice, at least in the main hardware, the P8 Lite (2017) looks better than the Huawei P9 Lite.
Connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE modules with dual SIM support (hybrid slots). The rear camera has a resolution of 12 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture focal, while the front camera incorporates an 8-megapixel sensor. On the back we find the fingerprint reader, while the battery has a capacity of 3,000 mAh. The operating system is Android 7.0 Nougat, although with the EMUI 5.0 personalization layer. The Huawei P8 Lite (2017) will be available in three colors: white, black and gold.
The price of the version with 3 GB of RAM will be $ 250.
